adidas launches the Keith Haring collection in New York City during Pride Month, paying homage to his legacy in LGBTQ culture.

Inspired by Keith Haring’s connection to street culture, youth culture and the LGBTQ community, we created a series of raw, untouched, double-exposure photography with Seattle-based photographer Alan Ardiente. The series featured public displays of pride between real LGBTQ youth, overlaid with photos of the three collaboration sneakers.

The concept not only aligned with Haring’s methods of artistic expression and affinity for spontaneity and juxtaposition, but also related to the LGBTQ movement as a whole, encouraging open mindedness toward people and expressions that are seemingly ‘different’ or contrary to the status quo.
